At La Olita, every element serves a purpose. The apartments are thoughtfully decorated with unique textiles, such as handcrafted bedding, curtains, rugs, and tapestries created by Oaxacan artisans. These are complemented by black clay crafts and accessories from the Teco Valley in Oaxaca, featuring exclusive pieces that reflect local traditions. The decor embraces simplicity, allowing the spotlight to fall on textured concrete walls, uniquely crafted by local experts using a custom blend that celebrates the natural beauty of imperfections, inspired by the wabi-sabi philosophy.

Photographing La Olita was about capturing the essence of nature’s work reflected in the creativity of human architectureIn the morning, the serenity of nature can be felt: the embrace of twilight and the gentle touch of a ray of sunlight. Frames, columns, skylights, and walls become the perfect canvas, reflecting the vibrant green of the leaves and the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean, projected onto every texture.
Subtle is the battle between light and shadow, between the passing hours and the movements dictated by the day. It is then that the grand hall of La Olita transforms this struggle into a dance of enjoyment, a play of reflections, an invitation to delight.At sunset, orange takes over the sky, and blue yields to the day’s end, orchestrating a symphony of spectacular colors. Gray transforms into yellow, blue fades into light blue, and greens are bathed in a warm glow, creating a moment that feels eternal, captured in every photograph.

Sustaintability
The first water treatment plant to recycle black water, which is later reutilized for the irrigation system and the WCs. This ultimately reduces the overall water consumption by around 40%. The energy comes from solar panels and our own transformer.

This exclusive development of four high-end apartments emerges as a monolithic structure seamlessly integrated into the mountainside, blending the solidity of its architecture with the lush, delicate vegetation of its landscaping.
Strategically located in a cliffside and rocky area, La Olita offers unparalleled views of the Pacific Ocean. The surrounding waters are home to dolphins and turtles, while whales grace the area every winter, visible from the comfort of its terraces.
As the sun sets, the golden, pink, and orange hues of La Olita's sunsets bathe every space, enhancing its serene and contemplative character. These colors blend beautifully with the chosen materials—concrete, marble, and parota wood—creating an interplay of light and shadow that transforms La Olita into a visual sanctuary, elevating the experience of living there to an extraordinary level.
Designed with deep respect for the natural environment, La Olita rises as an extension of the landscape, adapting to and coexisting seamlessly with its surroundings. Every architectural decision was made following an exhaustive study of the terrain, optimizing views and natural ventilation, achieving a perfect balance between sustainability and brutalist design.
Two robust columns flanked by large walls support the main facades of the monolith, forming a continuous visual connection between the cliff and the ocean. Planters, designed as architectural elements, evoke the motion of ocean waves crashing against the cliffs. The facade captures light throughout the day, casting ever-changing shadows that add movement and dynamic hues to its surfaces.
La Olita's design culminates in a stunning rooftop garden that redefines exclusivity. Crowned by the highest infinity pool in Puerto Escondido, it appears to merge seamlessly with the ocean, creating a perfect visual continuity that enhances every sunset. This space serves as the social heart of La Olita, featuring an expansive, welcoming lounge area, a large planter mimicking the Oaxacan jungle, an elegant bar with a granite countertop, and a striking dining table made from parota wood.
